Hello, everyone! This time, I want to discuss an Indonesian animated film titled Jumbo.


Why Jumbo? Because this film is not only fun and visually stunning, but also full of meaningful life lessons. It is a local work with international quality—making me proud of the creativity of my fellow countrymen.


✨ Short Synopsis  

Don feels belittled by his friends and wants to prove himself through a talent show inspired by a fairy tale book left behind by his parents. However, the book is stolen by his classmate, Atta. In his sadness, Don meets Meri, a supernatural being who is also searching for her parents. Together with his two friends, Nurman and Mae, they embark on a magical adventure to reclaim the book—while learning about courage, friendship, and self-confidence.  


💡 Values Taught  

The film Jumbo teaches us universal values that are very important in life:  


Self-confidence: True strength comes from within ourselves.


Keeping promises and staying kind, even when treated unfairly.  


Empathy: Everyone, even those who seem cruel, has a background that shapes them.  


Friendship and courage: Fighting injustice with creativity and a strong heart.

🎵 A Touching Theme Song

One of the most touching parts of the film is its theme song, titled “Selalu Ada di Nadimu” The lyrics that resonate most deeply with me are:


“Sedikit demi sedikit 

Engkau akan berteman pahit 

Luapkanlah saja bila harus menangis 

Anakku, ingatlah semua 

Lelah tak akan tersia

Usah kau takut pada keras dunia.”


These lyrics feel like a warm embrace for anyone feeling tired or lost.


Jumbo is not just entertainment, but also a mirror of life values that we can carry into our daily lives. A work that proves Indonesian animation can compete and touch the hearts of its audience.
